- 7-9 pm Women, Queer Folks and Comics - facilitated by Tina J. at the AnchorArchives 5684 Roberts Street. Comics are totally rad. But the comics industry can be very male dominated and hetero-normative, and it may seem hard to find comics that speak to radical-minded folks. This talk will introduce you to some of the amazing women-friendly and queer-friendly comics out there. We'll look at some comic creators who don't fit the white, straight male norm. And even check out some positive representations in mainstream superhero comics. Shazam!
