A meeting of four of Eastern Canada’s most intriguing improvisers: internationally acclaimed Nova Scotian multi-instrumentalist Daniel Heïkalo; Halifax’s world music star, violinist Chris Church; Rob Power, a fixture at the Newfoundland Sound Symposium, and Professor of percussion at Memorial University; and Norman Adams, cellist and suddenlyLISTEN Artistic Director. Using a vast variety of instruments, sounds, and cultural influences. This collaboration will investigate emotion, texture and interaction as the performers explore their own music, and the musical languages of their collaborators.
