Queen of the Vineyards Whine Tour! - Halifax Pride’s Official Hostess, RougeFatale, will whisk you down to the valley on a delicious tour, filled with laughter, wine and lunch! And you’ll be back in time to enjoy all the evening’s entertainment at Halifax Pride! “I’d go on this tour just to see Rouge sashay through a vineyard in six-inch stilettos,” said Pride Chair, HugoDann.
Note: We recommend wearing comfortable shoes and dress casually, as we often step into the vineyards at one of our stops.

Float Building at the YouthProject (2281 Brunswick St). Come out, hang out and help us build our Youth Project float for the Pride Parade. This year’s theme? SUPERHEROES! This event is open to all youth under 25.

timeOUT Lectures at the Spring Garden Rd. Memorial Public Library - This year's series of timeOUT lectures will cover a broad range of issues facing the GLBTQ (gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender and queer) community including education and transgender issues. Cosponsored by the NSRAP and HalifaxPride.

7 to 9 p.m.
One-night only performance of the rock musical Hedwig and the Angry Inch at the Paragon, presented by trrrash. Hedwig is a a rock musical about a rock and roll band fronted by an East German transgender singer. Tickets are $20 and can be purchased at TicketPro locations or at TicketPro.ca. Under the Big Top Songwriters Circle - Garrison Grounds under the Beer Tent. RyanMacGrath returns to produce some of the best local talent in the area. Why not start off your Pride weekend reconnecting with old friends in this intimate setting. Admission $5.00

Madison Violet at TheCompanyHouse (2201 Gottingen St). A very special Pride show, Brenley MacEchern? and Lisa MacIssac? will perform from their recently released CD, No Fool for Trying. Tickets available at The Company House. Admission $12.00 in advance, $14.00 at the door.

Ria Mae and Margot with Natasha Peach at the Foggy Goggle (1667 Argyle St). Everyone loves a good story. For Halifax-based Ria Mae, song writing is a vehicle to carry other people’s narratives. Instead of looking inward and focusing on her own experience in the world, she writes pop songs about those closest to her. Mae has a certain way about her, she’s a mixture of cocksure, rhetoric and charm.
