- 22nd Annual Pride Parade - Marshaling at Provo Wallis St (near the corner of Upper Water and Cornwallis).
- 1.30 to 3 p.m.
- 22nd Annual Pride Parade - this year's theme is Breaking Down Walls; Building Bridges! Inspired by the 40th Anniversary of the Stonewall riots in New York City, the event that many see as the birth of the Gay Pride Movement. This theme also represents the way in which Halifax’ Pride respects and celebrates the diversity of ALL of Nova Scotia’s communities, building bridges of understanding and cooperation.
- Following the 2008 parade route (and the Parade of Lights route); Upper Water St to Barrington to Spring Garden Road to South Park to Bell and ending at Citadel High on Ahern Avenue.

- 2nd Annual HalifaxPride Community Fair at Garrison Grounds Pride Festival Site. Sponsored by Glow Parties and Halifax Regional Municipality, this year’s Community Fair has something for everyone. From carnival games to celebrity dunk tank, inflatables to entertainment, there is something for the child in all of us. We are planning a second stage for the Community acts this year located within the fair grounds. Free Admission

- 21st Annual Pride Festival and Concert at Garrison Grounds Pride Festival Site. This year’s post-parade concert will feature a number of local artists, some familiar and some entirely unexpected! In addition, we’re delighted to host Ruby Jean and the Thoughtful Bees who will be opening for the Cliks and the Hidden Cameras. Sponsor: Heritage Canada Building Communities through Arts and Heritage program and the Halifax Regional Municipality. Admission: Free
