A screening of 2014's Pride, based on a true story: Realizing that they share common foes in Margaret Thatcher, the police, and the conservative press, London-based gays and lesbians lend their support to striking coal miners in 1984 Wales.
Followed by a discussion led by Kyle Buott (Halifax Halifax-Dartmouth & District Labour Council) and Kevin Kindred (former Chair of NSRAP) about what it means to be and have allies, specifically on the importance of the relationship between labour and queer communities.
