There was little chance that either Carole, a Parisian teacher and feminist militant, or Delphine, the daughter of a rural farming family, would ever cross paths. But in one of life’s beautiful and unlikely occurrences, they not only met, but they also fell in love. Delphine, wanting to learn more about the world outside of the family farm, is swept up with Carole and her friends, who are fighting on the frontline of the feminist wave of 1970s Paris.
