Reading of Broadway Boyz
Playwrights Atlantic Resource Centre presents a reading of a Broadway Boyz with original book, music and lyrics by Forbes MacQuarrie, Patrick Maubert, and GarryWilliams. Coming off their successful run at the Halifax Fringe, the creators are revisiting the script with dramaturge, RichieWilcox.
The Musical tells the story of three gay boys who dream of Broadway, only to awaken to a its darker, harsher reality. The artists explore their love for Musical Theatre, their queerness, their struggles in an unkind industry, to celebrate the identities they have come to own through rejection, hardship and simply being fabulous. Reading takes place December 19, 2019 at 7 pm at CFNS, 1113 Marginal Rd, Halifax. Free admission. All welcome!

Gay Ol' Christmas Comedy Show at The Seahorse (2037 Gottingen Street)
Come hear some jokes, surrounded by tacky Dollarama decorations, in the basement of a bar. We truly cannot think of anything cozier this time of year.
Hosted by Adam Myatt and Lindsay Dauphinee, the show features local faves Lisa Buchanan, Emma Mader, Megan McDowell, Jordan Roberts, Rachael Sheppard, and Emma Wilkie. Our newbies are Milo Misseri and Patience Grace, and the show is headlined by Hello City!
Tickets are $12. Doors open at 7:30, show at 8! More details at the Facebook event.
