Subject: Wondering if you could pass this on

Hello,

I am pleased to let you know that Catherine Meade has thrown her name in the hat, and will be running for the upcoming Liberal Nomination for the area Central Halifax/Sambro.

She's very excited about this opportunity and truly feels that "change will bring about change". Currently, only 20% of the MP's in Ottawa are women, and very few represent the cultural diversity in Canada and/or are openly gay/lesbian.

In support of Catherine in securing the Liberal Nomination, I have offered to sell Liberal Memberships to other supporters before the date of March 19 (from what I understand new members must have held their membership for 14 days prior to voting at the Liberal Nomination Meeting on April 3, 2007 and be residing within the riding).

Memberships are $15 and can be purchased through contacting me at 445-2998 or at the above email address, or through Catherine herself at meade4halifax@gmail.com or online at www.liberal.ca.

If you are not in her riding area she still could use the support by passing on the word to others, volunteer to attend the Liberal Nomination Meeting in support of her on April 3, and I think she has some other volunteer opportunities that individuals could help her with so if you have any questions for Catherine please do not hesitate to contact her at the above email address also she will be at Mollyze on Sat, March 17, 2007 from 11am to 2pm in support of the Halifax Mollyz's Softball Teams Pancake Breakfast Fundraiser so you could catch up with her there as well.

Liberal Nomination Meeting April 3, 2007 @ 6:30pm St. Agnes Church Hall 6903 Mumford Road (at Chebucto)

Your support is appreciated, oh I forgot it's Saint Patty's Day on Saturday, one more good reason to get out!! P.S. Please feel free to pass this notice on to others!

Question: Can you please clarify the riding of Central Halifax/Sambro? As far as I am aware there is no federal or provincial riding by that name. The area classified by central Halifax is represented by the federal riding of Halifax, and provincially as Halifax Needham. Thank you. - Jason Keddy
