Perpetuation of twink stereotypes, portrayal of xenophobic twinky culture, people buying each others' love and generally treating each other like shit, and generally being an asshole are all part of what makes this show popular. I can only imagine what kind of shallow, self-centered, two-faced people would want to watch such a show, but count me out.

There's often some degree of truth behind stereotypes...

Given that the main characters in the show are members of the xenophobic twinky culture, it's not surprising to see a lot of twinks there. Of course, other shallow, xenophobic, [insert group here] culture isn't as obvious in a show such as this, because not only are such groups often shallow and xenophobic, but many of them are amazingly self-centered, to the point where the rest of the known universe just doesn't matter to them.
