U=U / Undetectable = Untransmittable
If you are HIV+, on medications and maintaining a low viral load (Undetectable) then it is impossible to pass HIV on to your sexual partners (Untransmittable). A decade of research has proven U=U, however the message to the general public is very new.
This presentation by AIDSCoalition will review the science and explore the health, social and legal implications of having an Undetectable HIV viral load. For more information contact GMHC@acns.ns.ca or 902-425-4882 ext 222. Presented by the AIDS Coalition of Nova Scotia in partnership with HealingOurNations, Legal Aid Nova Scotia, the ID Clinic, the Nova Scotia Advisory Commission on AIDS, and the Halifax Central Public Library. Supported by ViiV Healthcare.
