Pride Colours At Home
Get your crayons, sharpen your colouring pencils, and sniff your fruity markers! Halifax Pride is hosting an online colouring session to mark the International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia, and Biphobia (IDAHTB). Halifax Pride is happy to contribute this event as part of a series of IDAHBT events by Haligonian 2SLGBTQ+ organizations.
Halifax Pride has asked local 2SLGBTQ+ artists to create colouring pages inspired by IDHATB, the results are amazing, and we’re going to colour them together on Zoom!
Pictures will be provided by email in PDF format so they can be opened in your favourite colouring app and digitally coloured. : Don't have an app? Take a screenshot and use Markup. Hardcopies can also be delivered to those in the Halifax area if requested in the Google Form by May 15th.
Our wonderful contributing artists include: Bria Miller - @encouraginghonesty Dallas Ning - @a_camp Gabe David - @outlawcountrytattoo James Neish - @jneish Adrienne Danielle - @adriennedanielleart
We will ask participants to post their finished pages to Instagram with a hashtag #PrideColoursAtHome?. So get your pride colours and creativity ready!
The IDAHTB was created in 2004 to draw attention to the violence and discrimination experienced by lesbian, gay, bisexuals, transgender, intersex, and all other people with diverse sexual orientations, gender identities or expressions, and sex characteristics.
There is a Two Spirit image gifted from the Winnipeg Rainbow Resource Centre to the Nova Scotia Elderberries, thence to the Wabanaki Two Spirit Alliance. Click here for it.
Registration: You must register via this Google Form to receive the Zoom login details.
