🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️ Housing Support Program Drop-In
The YouthProject will be on site at the Alderney Gate Library for drop-in housing support. Our Housing Support program connects 2SLGBTQIA+ youth 16-30 to a housing support worker who can provide access to resources and services, help with applications to subsidies, and support folks in navigating housing issues.
Our Gender Affirming Items Coordinator Hayden will be on site to offer information on gender affirming items such as packers, binders, gaffs and more! Bus tickets and transportation support is available. Please note, the Youth Project continues to uphold a mask mandate and we ask that you stay home if you are sick.
If you require more information or are unable to attend the drop-in and want to connect, contact Rae at housing@youthproject.ns.ca or call/text 902-333-8708. (Info via Instagram).
RE: MEMBERING Stories of the Two Spirit Indigenous HIV/AIDS Movement
We are thrilled to extend an exclusive invitation to you for the screening of a thought-provoking documentary that promises to inspire, inform, and spark meaningful conversations. Woven in vignette-style format, the Re: membering Documentary highlights the vital contributions of Indigenous organizers including Two-Spirit trailblazers and individuals with lived experiences related to STBBI’s amidst the tumultuous HIV/AIDS crisis on Turtle Island. Presented by CAAN Communities, Alliances & Networks, this film explores the intersection of Two-Spirit identity and the impact of HIV/AIDS with a focus on resilience and unique perspectives.
Snacks and refreshments will be provided and a short Q & A session will follow the screening.
