Neighbours, Friends, and Chosen Families soft launch
Join Transition House Association of Nova Scotia, HEALNS, and T.R.A.N.S. for the soft launch of Neighbours, Friends, & Chosen Families. This free session is for service providers who support 2SLGBTQAI+ communities and want to strengthen their knowledge and response to Intimate Partner Violence (IPV).
The Neighbours, Friends, and Families (NFF) program is a public education initiative that helps people recognize the warning signs of intimate partner violence, respond safely, and refer those affected to support. It empowers communities to take action and foster safety for everyone. The Neighbours, Friends, and Chosen Families (NFCF) Project adaptation builds on that foundation, expanding awareness to include the unique experiences of 2SLGBTQAI+ individuals and the vital role of chosen family.
This project centres inclusive language, diverse relationships, and community-based approaches to safety and support.
