2SLGBTQIA+ Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST)
Day 2 of 2
Join the Healthy Minds Cooperative for a life-saving training session that empowers the 2SLGBTQIA+ community with essential suicide intervention skills.

This 2-day (Feb 21 & 22), Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST) is designed to gives you the confidence, knowledge and practical tools to intervene when it matters most. You don’t need to be a counselor or mental health professional – just someone who’s willing to care, to listen, and to take action.
ASIST is an internationally recognized, evidence-based training that equips participants to recognize when someone may be at risk of suicide, engage in supportive and direct conversations, and work collaboratively to develop a plan that helps keep them safe.
This offering is designated for Two-Spirit, lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer/questioning, intersex, asexual, and other sexual and gender-diverse people, and will be facilitate by members of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community, creating a safer learning environment for community members attending this training.
Registration is free. Note that participation in both days (Saturday, February 21 and Sunday, February 22) is expected.
