Atlantic Boyleque

Atlantic Boylesque is a gender diverse collaborative of artists gratefully living and performing in and around Kjipuktuk (Halifax, Nova Scotia), in the unceeded territory of the Mi’kmaq . The many talents of our troupe members, which range from performance and visual arts, dance choreography, theatre, costume design, magic, photography, flow arts, and event planning all contribute to each unique production. Since exploding onto the scene in May 2022, we have been pushing the boundaries of neo-burlesque and blurring the lines between theatre and exotic dance. They regularly deliver fully scripted plays, including their annual holiday special: A Queersmas Carol, their 4-part Haunt Me Harder journey to hell and heaven, and the inter-planetary Planet Pride saga). Each of their shows feature at least one special choreographed group dance routine. They value community, equality, hard work, cooperation, and freedom of expression while celebrating our unique identities in a non-toxic, non-hetero-normative and sexually positive way.
