Post a time and place to meet up every day or every week, and some identifying mark to indicate you're part of the flash mob, and then show up to meet new people or old friends.
It's cheaper than the bar, and since we get about a hundred hits per day it's possible to get good numbers showing up at these things. Now all we need is someone creative with times, places, and funny hats.
