- Requiescat in pace character-about-town Mike Dempsey passed away July 21, 2019 age 64.
- Back in the day, Miked love roller skating and hosting wonderful parties. At work at the Agricola Street NSLC, he was as well-known for his witty retorts as he was for his efficiency at the checkout.
- In the late 1990s and early 2000s he was owner of Mike’s Pets & Plants on Almon near Agricola.
- There will be no visitation; a funeral service will be held at a later date. An interment will be held in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lower Sackville. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a local animal charity of your choice.
