Perpetual Detour described themselves in 2013 on their website:1

Born in the basement of a purple house, Halifax-based band Perpetual Detour is not afraid of the dark. The all-female foursome combines insightful lyrics and harmonies in a melodic-rock offering that paints a picture of love, loss, longing and rebirth.
Perpetual Detour has emerged from the depths with their debut album “What if it was you?”. Recorded by ECMA-nominated producer Scott Ferguson, the album’s 10 original tracks feature soaring vocals and a notable interplay of piano, driving electric guitar, bass and drums. Pre-released singles have enjoyed success; “That’s too bad” was twice featured on Halifax radio station Live105’s Live Underground segment and has received regular airplay on the Indie Showcase Halifax internet radio show; “Ran Away” spent 8 weeks on the Radio Café’s New Music Countdown, reaching the #2 position.
The girls have been honoured to share the stage with many talented artists, including Michelle Wright, Irish Mythen, Christine Campbell, Erin Costello, Coco Love Alcorn and Ria Mae. They also have had the pleasure of performing with Juno-award winning songwriter Melanie Doane at the Harmony Bazaar Festival of Women and Song.
With a number of upcoming shows, and several songs already started for the next album, Perpetual Detour is in it for the long haul.

Members included: AJ Leblanc, Ro Gionet, Jen Stewart, and Meagan Lancbery.
