Ron Dunphy

Ron was a retired social worker in Dartmouth who had worked with youth in the school system, said his brother, Reg Dunphy. He died following a fire in his home. His partner, Francis Anopuechi, suffered severe burns and died a few days later.

A GoFundMe (screen cap on file) was set up shortly after his death which contained some fairly substantial exaggerations which were picked up and distributed by various media (CBC screen cap on file) and then later amended after many community members questioned the assertions (notes on file.)
