Dear Dr. Bob,

I was thinking of you today, as well as Mary Lou, and I hope this email is forwarded to you. I remember your practice in the Bank of Montreal and, of course, the house you worked out of on Queen Street. I also remember talking to you at the Sea Horse Tavern on Argyle Street.

I'm 67 now and go to the YMCA. I'm pretty busy and still live in the same building near the A. Murray MacKay Bridge. At that time, I thought you walked on water and I still do: you were so kind to me in the 1970s and 1980s, and I remember Mary Lou. She was always calm and poised.

You are one of the people, Dr. Bob, that I'll never forget as long as I live.

If you want to see what I look like these days (God forbid), I've recently done some volunteer videos for the YMCA in Halifax, though I'm just a member. I saw a video of you on Global TV online and you looked fantastic.

Thanks for the memories. You are living proof that one man can make a difference for so many people.
