The Turret Recreation Project

Notes from meeting March 1st

The Plan:
-Paint the turret room pink and recreate murals
-Emily is running paint chips by Dan, when colours are approved we can begin painting
-We still need a picture/description of the second mural
-We be painting over the next couple weeks and open for events the last week of march
-There will be a poster and sign up sheet for the cabaret event in the ballroom for the opening of the member’s show

Events:
-Proposed events: Cabaret, Disco, Film Screening
-Two of these events could happen together or they could all be separate
-Film screening is up in the air, not sure what to screen, something pop cultural/queer from the 70’s?
-Resurrection Cabaret, old fashion crazy queer cabaret, call out for drag, performance art, comedy, singing etc.
-Disco, DJs with Vinyl, Caleb?, Kelly Zwicker?, Magnus? cover pwyc/$5
-need to talk to Dan about having the bar upstairs/creating a bar upstairs

Things to Do:
-Decide dates
-Make posters for different event(Emily and Beck)
-Promote through all channels!
-Paint paint paint!
-Poster
-Name for the disco
-Consider screening
