Queer Boxing 101 at Queensbury Rules Boxing (33 Alderney Drive, Suite 130, Dartmouth)
Join UntoxicatedQueers for a BOXING 101 class at Queensberry Rules! You'll learn how to find the right stance, basic footwork, and most importantly - the JAB + CROSS. These two punches are the bread and butter of boxing. You’ll be put through some tried-and-true strength drills, as well, so that you can experience a full body workout.
This is a non-contact class (nobody will be getting punched!) designed for first-time boxers at any level of fitness. And if you've boxed before, it never hurts to reinforce the basics!
All you need is comfortable athletic clothing that doesn't restrict your movement, clean indoor sneakers, and a water bottle – we’ll provide the rest!
Feeling awkward or nervous about boxing for the first time? We will have the whole gym to ourselves, giving us a private space where we can support one another, learn together, and have fun!
Hosted by the amazing Richard Rockhard & Mike Hunt. Get ready to see the Halifax Drag Kings! Featuring Hannibal Lickeder, Tai Europe, Vincent ST. Grace, Eric Shunn.
We're so excited for the launch of Haven, a new nightclub experience for the 2SLGBTQIA+ community. Please join us for our soft opening as the official after party for Love is a Drag at the Grafton Street Dinner Theatre, hosted by Diana B Tease. Keep your tickets from the show for free entry into Haven!
