Are you an immigrant or newcomer LGBTQIA+ teen in interested in calligraphy, origami and modelling clay? Are you in Grades 7 to 12? YMCA Newcomer 2SLGBTQIA+ Youth Program invites you to join a mixed media art drop-in space.
The goal of the space is to provide a calm, fun, relaxing, and welcoming environment to immigrant or newcomer LGBTQIA+ teens to build networks or seek resources while building their artistic skills or engaging in sensory inputs safely.
Location: 2nd Floor, Lou Duggan Creative Studio, Halifax Central Library

It’s Disco Night at the Seahorse Tavern. Come funk it up and dance the night away in the most glamorous way possible. Come dressed in your best disco fits!
Featuring drag performances by Zara Matrix, Elle Noir, Heckella Jeckyll, Saturn Matrix, Mike Hunt, Miranda Wrights, and Katana Skin. The official dancers for the event are the Woods Hip Hop Company. With DJs DandiJ? and CenturySamuel?!
Doors open at 9 p.m.. Performances start at 9:30. Advance tickets $16.58 or $25 at the door.
