Since stepping onto the stage in 2014, Mike Hunt has become a staple of Halifax’s drag scene. With a name that’s cheeky, bold, and unforgettable, Mike delivers performances that are just as audacious—melding comedy, burlesque, and gender-bending satire with impeccable timing and jaw-dropping stage presence.
He's a regular with the Halifax Drag Kings and Blue Lobster Burlesque, known for delivering numbers that challenge norms, celebrate queerness, and always entertain.
In November 2024, Mike Hunt (Reign Marie) celebrated one year of sobriety—a milestone that speaks to his strength, resilience, and deep commitment to personal growth.
As a proud sober advocate, Mike is vocal about the importance of sobriety within queer spaces, helping break the stigma around addiction and recovery. Through performances, social media, and community support, he creates space for those navigating sobriety—especially in nightlife scenes where sober voices are often unheard.
Whether offering a word of encouragement or holding space for others, Reign leads with vulnerability and radical honesty, reminding others that you can be fabulous, fierce, and fully yourself—without substances.
Out of drag, Reign Marie (he/they) is a fierce advocate, organizer, and performer who brings as much heart to community building as they do to the stage. In 2020, Reign joined Halifax Pride as the Communications & Partner Relations Manager, helping to shape inclusive messaging and uplift 2SLGBTQ+ voices throughout the region.
