QUEER CREATIVES SPACE: Envelope Folded Notebooks
This Sunday (August 27th), Queer Creatives Space will be offering a bookbinding workshop on how to make Envelope Folded Notebooks. This workshop will take place from 1-3pm in Wonder’neath’s Project Room at 2482 Maynard Street Halifax (access note’s link in @queercreativesspace bio on Instagram).Queer Creatives Space sessions are intended for queer and trans folks, but questioning folks are more than welcome. Masks are required to participate, but can be provided on site.
This book structure uses thick and/or handmade paper covers, with folds that allow it to close like an envelope. Doted, blank, and lined paper options will be provided as pages for participants to sew into their notebook. Some collage, textile, and stationary elements will be provided to embellish these notebooks. This simplistic bookbinding structure functions as a good pocket notebook or travel friendly sketchbook.
As usual, this programming is drop-in friendly, free, and materials for the workshop will be provided. Participants are also welcome to bring a personal project to work on, so long as it’s not sensory/ space intensive, and you’re able to bring your own materials. Some drawing materials will also be provided on site for participants that would like to use them.
Feel free to reach out to Robin with any questions via email: wolfepress@gmail.com Or DM @queercreativesspace on Instagram
