Dec. 1st is World AIDS Day. Look for 300 red scarves tied to the gates and fence around the Halifax Public Gardens. For the 3rd year in a row, this project of the AIDS Coalition of Nova Scotia aims to tie donated handmade scarves with info cards attached about HIV self-tests and U=U to make a public display of that information and to garner attention to World AIDS Day.
The scarves are there to gain visibility and educate - but also to be taken by anyone who might need one.
Notes: Please refrain from wearing scented products in respect for those with sensitivities. • If you know others that would like to attend, invite them. • First Friday Fae was created as an event for gay men only and remains as such. This is our once-per-month delight in getting together with our gay brothers. Just as we respect women-only spaces, please respect ours.
