AIDS Vigil 2023
Join the AIDS Coalition of Nova Scotia in honouring those who were living with HIV or AIDS who have since passed. As a community, we come together and speak their names collectively while we hear from those who carry their stories.
We ask that folks come together – from all walks of life - to celebrate and honour not only those who we have lost but those who are still with us fighting this disease. Awareness, solidarity, and compassion are the driving forces of change needed.
At: the KTS Lecture Hall on the 2nd floor of the New Academic Building (NAB) University of King’s College, 6350 Coburg Road (on the #1 and #24 bus routes).

Book Ornaments with Queer Creatives Space
This Sunday Queer Creatives Space will be offering a mini workshop session on how to make small book ornaments. For folks that don’t celebrate holidays that involve tree ornaments, these tiny books can be easily turned into keychains or jewelry. Regardless of your use for these tiny books, we hope you’ll consider joining us for some book making fun.
This will be one of our evening sessions, happening Dec 3rd, Sunday, from 5-7pm. This event will take place out of the Project Room at Wonder’neath/ 2482 Maynard St, Kjipuktuk/ Halifax. Access notes for this space are in @queercreativesspace bio.
Since this session is a bit more structured, for folks that wish to make their books from scratch, we recommend showing up at 5pm. We will have premade book covers on hand though for folks that come by later. As such, this session is still drop-in friendly.
Most miniature books will likely be made out of book cloth scraps rather than leather as a heads up, as Robin will be using the materials/ scraps they have on hand for this workshop.
As a regular housekeeping reminder that applies to all Queer Creative’s Space sessions:
This event is intended for folks under the umbrellas of queer +/or trans. Questioning people and queer +/or trans folks that are often read as cis/het are more than welcome. Masks are required, but can be provided on site. This programming is free to attend, and all ages friendly.
Snacks and hydration options will be provided. Supplies to participate in the project of the day will also be provided. As usual, folks are welcome to work on personal projects, so long as they aren’t sensory heavy +/or super space demanding.
Feel free to reach out to Robin with any questions via email: wolfepress@gmail.com Or DM @queercreativesspace on Instagram
