Join Nowadays festival for an interview with queer activist and author Rebecca Rose. Rebecca will talk about Before the Parade, her book about local lesbian, gay, and bisexual history.
Rebecca (she/her) is a Unama'ki (Cape Breton)-born queer femme writer and activist who currently lives in Punamu'kwati'jk (Dartmouth) with her wife and cat. Rebecca is currently working on the youth non-fiction book Amazing 2SLGBTQIA+ People in Atlantic Canada, also with Nimbus, out in spring of 2026.
