The Lunenburg Theatre Collective is bringing Stealing Sam, awarded best drama at the United Solo Theatre Festival (NYC 2014), to the BusStopTheatre for one show only.
Stealing Sam is a play about approaching “gay middle age” with as much dignity and humor as possible, in a culture of online dating and texting. Sam and Jimmy have been friends for more than twenty-five years, and they were supposed to be facing “gay middle age” together. When Sam dies, it’s up to Jimmy to plan their final picnic. Jimmy steals Sam’s cremated remains from the funeral home and tries to give his friend the send-off he deserves.

Handel’s Water Music is one of the Baroque era’s smash hits – a festive, jolly masterpiece that’s been beloved by audiences ever since its royal riverboat premiere 300 years ago. Now, hear its bright, open-air sound and toe-tapping tunes – including its signature, sailor-inspired Alla Hornpipe – live with the Symphony and our very own Principal Baroque Leader Julia Wedman. And joining us for only his second Canadian performance, South American superstar gay male soprano Samuel Mariño delights with his unique vocal talent and dazzling stage presence.
