Packed House
Packed House is a sexy, honest and gut-punching exposé from poet Lou C (they/qwe) where body politics gets queerly personal. In a cocksure and impassioned delivery, Packed House refuses the dangerous absurdity of the binary and flags up how transness ushers in liberation for all.
Cost: By donation. Doors open at 7, show starts at 7:30.
Casey & Diana (A handshake that changed the world)
In 1991, at the height of the AIDS crisis, the residents of Casey House - Toronto's first free-standing AIDS Hospice - receive word that the Princess of Wales is coming to visit. This potent and moving drama by Nick Green, vividly captures a moment in time when a rebel Princess, alongside fearless caregivers and advocates, reshaped the course of a pandemic—and how those stricken by the virus found hard-won dignity, community and love in the face of astonishing hardship.
Note: This is Talkback Night - after the performance, you're welcome to participate in an informal discussion about the show with the artists and hear about their creative process.
Location: Neptune Theatre (Scotiabank Stage), 1593 Argyle Street
