Movie & Discussion: Parade – Queer Acts of Love & Resistance : Presented by Halifax Central Library and Creative Community Impact Association
Kick off Pride with Cinema & Changemakers in Paul O’Regan Hall at Halifax Central Library, an evening of film, conversation, and community connection.
The event features a screening of *Parade: Queer Acts of Love & Resistance*, a documentary exploring the history of Canada’s 2SLGBTQIA+ movement through the voices, stories, and collective action that have shaped queer life, resistance, and belonging.
A moderated panel discussion follows the screening, focusing on queer storytelling, intergenerational knowledge, community, and activism. Panelists include Kenney Fitzpatrick (The Q LGBTQ Creative Network, Out Loud Radio, Dance NS), Daniel MacKay (Wayves, Elderberries), Jacquelyn Miccolis (Creative Community Impact Association), and an additional panelist to be confirmed.
