Don’t overthink it. Don’t stress! Everyone is in the same boat, a little nervous about venturing out of their comfort zone, but once these groups gets together everyone has a great time and conversation erupts naturally!
How it works: Upon purchasing a ticket and arrival, you’ll get a name tag and options of wristbands that reflect who you are and what you’re interested in (completely based on your comfort).
We’ll have a solid round of sessions where you get one on one with everyone. After everyone has had a chance to meet, we’ll open the space for mixing and mingling and you’ll be informed of any matches or interest whether it’s friends or something more via email.

Thrillema Presents: To Wong Foo, Thanks for Everything! Julie Newmar (1995)
For our first screening this month, we’re showing the hilarious, iconic 1995 Queer classic TO WONG FOO, THANKS FOR EVERYTHING! JULIE NEWMAR. After winning the opportunity to perform in Hollywood, two New York drag queens (Patrick Swayze, Wesley Snipes) take in an aspiring drag performer (John Leguizamo) and commit to a road trip across the country together. They soon find themselves stranded in a rural town, surrounded by bigots, and drab small minded folk in need of enlightenment and fashion sense.
Three decades later, TO WONG FOO remains a colourful and bold comedy classic. We are so pleased to be joined by local Drag Performer RougeFatale who will be introducing this film!
Tickets are now available and must be attained at @strangeadvhfx (Halifax location only). Tickets are free and limited to 2 per person! Doors open at 7:40 PM. Show starts at 8 PM.
Location: CarbonArcCinema, 1747 Summer St (Museum of Natural History, entry via southern parking lot)
8:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
