ClassicalQueer

From their website: Classical Queer provides a space for queer+ people working in the classical arts to tell their stories in their own words. It is an archive of instrumentalists, performers, administrators, composers, writers, and conductors from around the world who have a diverse and complex set of experiences working in the classical arts.

In 2019, Jacob Caines formed the Halifax Queer Ensemble, a serious music performance group. On July 10, 2019, Wayves interviewed Halifax-based him about the new ensemble.

In the interview, Jacob mentions two planned concerts:

• July 30, 2019: concert at the Maritime Conservatory, "The cello duo VC2 is on tour and will be joining us. "
• August 4, 2019: location TBD, "The August concert will feature vocal soloists, a poet, and a few other surprises in addition to the orchestra."
