At any given time the site has the scars of flamewars, past and present. This sort of nonsense has to stop sometime.

What are some things we can do to clean it up? Let's make a list: If you're not contributing content:

• ModerateMore : Yes, that's right. Take a few minutes each day to read RecentChanges or the HitCounter or, if you want to get more formally involved, the WikiBackups system which makes it easy to see every little change. Then work on cleaning up those pages a little bit. A few minutes a day from a bunch of people translates into hours upon hours of collective effort.

For those writing:

• Be Nice: It sounds a lot easier than it is. Play nice with other people. Try to make life easier for the little guy, and don't piss people off and maybe things can be made better.
