The Glove Guy was seen in two places; at the bar of the gay bars in town, and driving around, offering taxi-like rides to young men in exchange for them putting on gloves - nothing else. No sex, no sexual voyeurism, no further offers.

Stories on Reddit r/Halifax ranged from hatred to "Hey, a ride home in exchange for putting on a pair of gloves? why not?"

ToddRose? writes: Does anyone else remember the Halifax Glove Guy? I believe his full name was James Murray. I have fond memories of hanging out with him during my younger days in Halifax’s club scene. There’s actually a cool podcast about the Halifax Glove Guy that I thought I’d share with those who remember him.

From my experience, James was a kind and generous friend who was always willing to help others. While he could be a bit overbearing and eccentric at times, he was genuinely a good guy. Has anyone else heard of him lately or know if he’s still around?1

I always remembered him as a kind guy really, he would come across as overbearing but there are lot of people out there like that and its just part of a personality. I always wondered if he was still around or after the trouble if he relocated.

KevinCrowell? writes: I’ve listened to all the podcasts, especially on Nighttime Podcasts. Oddly, I always wanted to meet the guy, I think he always it bad rap. I was also interested in his gloves. He ran into some legal trouble, but understand it was sorted out.
