- arrest warrant & charges laid was issued for Pride Vice-Chair ChrisScullino, who had left the province and had no fixed address. Through the course of the investigation, officers determined that the Halifax Pride Committee had been defrauded of over $16,000. He has been charged with fraud over $5,000, theft over $5,000 and possession of stolen goods over $5,000. Halifax Pride was allegedly bilked of the funds between April 30 and Sept. 1, 2013, the court document said.

- RamonaWestgate?, Halifax Pride’s board chairwoman, said Thursday that $16,474 is missing. "Westgate said shortly after last year’s event, Pride officials reviewed the books, and “there was a discrepancy noticed.” She said the membership has been apprised of the alleged theft and will continue to be updated."

- Judge Marc Chisholm granted Scullino’s request for a one-month adjournment. When the case returns to court Jan. 3, Scullino will be expected to elect whether he wishes to be tried in provincial court or in Nova Scotia Supreme Court. Scullino remains free on a $5,000 recognizance secured by his partner's personal property. He cannot have any contact with former Pride chairwoman Kathy Walsh, must observe a curfew from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. at an address in Merrickville, Ont., and has to check in with Halifax Regional Police by phone every Friday.
