QueerCreativesSpace: Felted Bat Making
This Sunday (Oct 29th) from 11am to 1pm, we’ll be making felted bats as a sort of continuation of our Halloween/Samhain themed felted ghouls + critters. We’re doing an earlier session this time, as Robin has a spooky market hosted by @differentfolkshfx at 2pm. This craft is perfect for last minute decorating. It’s also a great alternative from other events for folks that want to celebrate this time of year in a sober, low sensory, and all age friendly space. We hope to see you this Sunday.
For all the participants who wanted to continue to make ghosties/pumpkins from last time, or that weren’t able to come out last QCS session, we’ll have all the materials on hand to offer that project as well. We’ll also have flat felting materials available, for folks that wish to dabble in that.
As always, this QCS session will be held out of Wonder’neath’s Project room at 2482 Maynard St., and access note for this space are in @queercreativesspace bio. Masks are required to attend, but can be provided on site.
Queer Creatives Space programming is intended for folks existing under the trans or queer umbrella. Questioning people and folks often read as cis or straight (that aren’t) are more than welcome. Queer Creatives Space sessions are all ages and drop in friendly.
Per usual, this arts programming is free, and materials for the project will be provided for free as well. Folks are more than welcome to bring personal projects, so long as they aren’t space and sensory intensive. Snacks and hydration options will be provided, likely in the form of Halloween candy.
