Elizabeth Bishop

Great Village, NS: Childhood home of lesbian poet Elizabeth Bishop. Although most of her later life was spent in the United States and Brazil, she frequently visited relatives in Great Village and the place served as inspiration for many of her later poems. Elizabeth Bishop House is currently operated as an artist's retreat.1
