Friday Night Basketball

This small group was started in 2007 by a few individuals who wanted a winter activity.

Every Friday night during winter there was pick-up basketball for the LGBTQ+ community (and friends). Play was from 8:30 to 9:30 at the Chocolate Lake Rec Centre (14 Purcell's Cove Road, Halifax). Membership for the entire season cost $85; weekly play was $3.

History

2007: formation
May 8, 2008: last game of the second season; Facebook group formed this year
September 25, 2009: third season play starts; e-mail address added. Season ended early in March.
October, 2010: season cancelled due to lack of interest
March 1, 2011: Group officially shut down.
