How about a RecentChangesRss feed? c2.com has one, and it may just be a matter of formatting the recent changes page in a different xml dtd. IOW, a small matter of xslt.
Good aftenoon.
My partner and I have just purchased a deli in downtown Halifax and were wondering how to be included on your site. Please email my at tboughey@hotmail.com with info.
CapnDan writes: if you want everyone who is everyone in Halifax to know, advertise in WayvesMagazine! Or you can mailto:av231@chebucto.ca with the info and I'll put it up here.
Regards, Tracey
Hello Tracey. It's very simple to be included on this site - and best of all, it's a do-it-yourself thing.
- Go to your browser's URL field (where you see http://gay.hfxns.org)
- After the forward slash (/) type the name you want for your page (should be the name of your business). It needs to be in BumpyText (i.e. two or more capitalized words run together)
- Hit ENTER. Your page name will appear, underlined, in large type. You'll also see a line below that says Describe <yourpagename?> here.
- The question mark will appear underlined. Click on it and an edit window will pop up. Type in any information you want about your business.
- At the bottom of your page, add a line saying something like "This is one of Halifax's many GayBusinesses."
- Click on the "save" button at the top of the page. You'll see "Thank you for editing <your page name>". It'll now be underlined. Click it and have a look. Feel free to edit it, play with it etc as much as you want. Other users and the people who do EditorsTasks might also do some arranging, formatting etc for you.
- Hope this helps!
