ElderBerries

1:00pm - 3:00pm
ElderBerries Second Sunday Salon: Turret Memories
Our guest speaker for today is not available due to COVID. In her place, we will have a Turret Story Telling round table. The recordings will be shared with the Turret Arts Space Society and archived.
Elder members of the 2SLGBTQ+ community in Halifax remember The Turret as a disco paradise where they danced to I will survive, Y*M*C*A and It's Raining Men. Salon attendees will be able to share memories, and to ask Emily about the Society's plans for redeveloping the building as a centre for visual, musical, theatrical, literary, and other arts.
Location: North end Halifax. The Salon is open to the general public, but space is limited, so RSVP for the directions.
