CKDU > The Word Is Out > All Day All Gay

CKDU's and TheWordIsOut's annual Pride broadcast

1993

June 25, 1993: content on the show caused a complaint objecting to the "coarse language" and the "reference to gay sexual preferences" to the CRTC. Here's the decision.

The incident is mentioned at the beginning of the 1994 broadcast (Part A): "Isn't that the show that got us in hot water with the CRTC last year?"

NeedsResearchCategory: we need someone to tell the story of the 1993 broadcast, and everything it triggered.
