Summer 2004: People are thinking about how exciting it would be to have a queer community center; Bloomfield Centre seems to be a possible candidate! Or at least a jumping-off point until we do have one of our own.

History

Built as Bloomfield School, this building survived the Halifiax Explosion in 1917 and was closed as a school in 1988. The Centre was one of the emergency shelters during Hurricane Juan in 2003.
