LesbianGayRightsNovaScotia brought Simon Nkoli, (sometimes spelled Nkoli), founder of South Africa's multiracial gay movement, an ANC struggle hero, and an AIDS activist, to Halifax September 20, 1989 - September 22, 1989; he spoke at Rumours on September 21, 1989.
Simon Nkoli died of Aids-related complications in 1998 at age 41.
