RebeccaRose's history book, BeforeTheParade includes a section on the Halifax Women's Housing Co-op. Many of the women involved with that were, or went on to be, lesbian activists.

She says, "SusanHolmes and NaomiLechinsky were roommates when they started talking about creating what would evntually become the Halifax Women's Co-op in 1980 or 1981"1

The section also mentions: JackieMcMahon, SaraAvMaat, DiannGraham, BrendaBryan, CarolMillett

Their lawyer was Anne Derrick.
