Masc-i-nee
As the 2025 Halifax Pride Festival comes to a close, we invite the cis-men, as well as the trans and non-binary folk, out for an afternoon of play and relaxation. Queer, gay and straight individuals, couples, and polycules are all welcome to apply for this event as Night Spa wraps up its festival events with one last afternoon of delight. We recognize that in the past this venue was traditionally for gay men only and this night is a focus on returning some of that space that was taken from that community. While not just for cis-men this night will be focused on those looking for a more traditional bathhouse experience. Night Spa is Halifax’s only queer bathhouse. It is private, members only so only Night Spa members and their guests may attend. While everyone is welcome to apply, we are queer focused. We are queer owned and operated, as our staff are all queer/trans with a couple of allies too. We host Masc events each week and usually have 15-25 people out but it's the Pride Festival so expect it to be busier! Members and their guests may come rent a locker or pay a little more and party in a private room. Soak in the hot tub or sweat it out in the sauna. The Dark Room in the basement is for those looking to get a little more wild.
You must be a NightSpa member to attend. Not a Night Spa member yet? Please take a moment and apply to be a member. Walk ins are not allowed, and we do not accept same day applications so apply now so you can attend later. There is no cost to apply or upfront fee to being a member so apply today.
Cost: $30 in advance or $35 at the door.
Location: NightSpa, 2199 Gottingen Street

6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

Bodyworks: A Trans Drag and Burlesque Showcase
Bodyworks is a drag and burlesque show featuring a diverse cast of trans and gender diverse performers. Back by popular demand, this show aims to challenge the assumption that trans bodies are solely a source of trauma, that all trans bodies are "wrong" or "bad". Performers play with the theme of the body to explore their own experiences. Bodyworks is educational, campy, and a space for queer and trans joy.
Tickets: $15 online. Doors open at 6:30, show at 7.
Location: BusStopTheatre, 2203 Gottingen Street
