HistoryProjectTodoList: add Robin & Lynn's story of how we collected the fonds here, VERY shortly after AnneFulton's death.
We heard of Anne's sudden and very unexpected passing only hours after. We made an erroneous guess that her family would not be interested in cooperating with any kind of Q archival project.
We -- Robin, Lynn, Dan and others -- were prepared to show up at Anne's house and put ourselves between the dumpster and the materials, and this re-awakened the AtlanticHistoryAndArchivesNetwork and we [Who??] wrote a friendly letter to Anne's family stating the importance of the material in her house. We got a note back from them, that we had unfettered access to the house on Thursday and Friday, and to take any materials of relevance to the Q community!1
So, we showed up on one of those days and began going through Anne's stuff - hundreds of documents, perhaps thousands of photo prints and tens of thousands of negatives.
While there I saw a Singer Featherweight sewing machine box in the pile going to the dumpster, asked about it, and the family said, "It's going to the dumpster" so I retrieved it - so I have Anne's sewing machine.2
LynnMurphy immediately contacted Karen White at the NS Archive and Robin & Lynn had a very protracted conversation with them.
