GerardVeldhoven writes: I remember [[this_event?]] as we sat at a table with the three couples who had challenged the marriage laws. Norman Carter and myself were congratulated by the couples because of our marriage, which took place on October 16, 2004. I remember RossBoutilier and BrianMombourquette mentioning that they were glad we were the first, as so much fuss was made about it in the media.

NSRAP was raising money to pay our share of the legal costs from the marriage case and to continue the legal, political and social advocacy work needed throughout Nova Scotia!
