Rad Pride Halifax

(Not to be confused with the newer RadPride)

Rad Pride was a collectively organized series of events aimed to provide a broader understanding of the social-political issues currently facing queer and trans* folks in K'jipuktuk (Halifax).

Rad Pride sought to provide critical, fun, and accessible alternatives to mainstream corporatized Pride events.

History

• 2013: Formed
• November 2, 2013: Honoured by NSRAP with Rising Star Award; given to honour new organizations and young activists and to encourage their continued involvement in their communities.
• 2016 Schedule Here
• June, 2023: Facebook account disappeared some time in the last few years. Former social media: Facebook RadPrideHalifax; Twitter radpridehfx; radpridehalifax@gmail.com
• July 3, 2025: A new RadPride appears
