RegGiles & LynnMurphy made note of her passing.
LynnMurphy: I did not know her very well. However, she used to be around the Turret; was a sex-trade worker who identified as lesbian; had lived for a while in Montreal; was a single mother; and once was part of a Civil Rights Committee panel discussion on prostitution. I can remember a couple of remarks she made about not being treated in a very friendly fashion by political lesbians. Reg? It does not seem very possible to write about her without mentioning her profession, and yet it does not seem quite right to do so either. I wonder whether TumaYoung knew her?
RandyKennedy: When I was 18 , my 1st time trying to go to the Turret I was refused because i was not not a member . I was sitting at the bottom of the stairs when Sharon walked in and said Why are you sitting here Sweetie ? I said I am not a member so I can't get in . She said come with me I'll sign you in as my guest which she did , but as we were walking up the stairs she turned and said BUT if you start any trouble I will beat the f**k out of you . LOL We remained and became good friends ever since.
RegGiles says: Sharon always said what was on her mind, she and her partner HazelBlair? were my biggests fans when I would sing. SHe kept us on our toes tho.
